This vintage has some of the best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot coming from Beckstoffer’s Missouri Hopper in Oakville, Healy Vineyard in St. Helena, and Stagecoach Vineyard on Atlas Peak. The Petit Verdot is from one of the highest blocks at Stagecoach, Block 3. The silkiness and elegance of the valley floor fruit, combined with the structure and power of the hillside fruit, create a balanced, rich combination in the blended wine.
Introducing our 2022 Cambium, opening with layered aromatics of forest berry, cassis, and dark cherry, woven together with bay leaf, rosemary, cinnamon, and a subtle malty note. The palate is rich and dense yet finely textured, showing powdery tannins wrapped around savory notes of tobacco, cigar box, black pepper, coffee, and leather. A silky, medium-full finish of juicy blackberry carries through with polish and ease, giving the wine depth, warmth, and a composed sense of balance.
