10 Years of Tonella Vineyard

In the heart of Rutherford, where the valley floor gives way to the gravelly benchlands that made Napa Cabernet famous, lies the Tonella Estate Vineyard. Its story runs through generations: tended by Louis Tonella and his son Raymond, the vineyard came under Sequoia Grove’s care after a long partnership with the Tonellas. Today its 50 acres are farmed block by block, with each of its rootstock and clonal parcels expressing its own corner of this storied site, and only the finest lots selected for the Tonella bottling.

Vintage after vintage, the wine has carried the signature of its place: dark fruit with a mineral, dusty edge, fine-grained tannins, and a balance of power and restraint that rewards patience in the cellar.
