We are pleased to officially release the inaugural vintage of our newest white wine: 2023 Estate Sauvignon Blanc

This exciting new bottling from Sequoia Grove, also marks our first vineyard designate wine from our Yountville Estate Vineyard, State Lane, since we acquired the property in 2021. The State Lane Estate Sauvignon Blanc fruit arrived at the winery in the cool morning air and was immediately whole cluster pressed, allowed to lightly settle, maintaining a larger amount of lees. From there it was put directly to French oak and Stainless Steel Drums.

Indigenous yeast was allowed to start fermentation for this lot and minimal additions were done to the wine, taking a very natural approach to winemaking. All barrels were stirred biweekly for 3 months to promote complex aromas, flavors, and a more complex palate on the finished wine. The wine was left on the yeast lees until just before bottling and underwent no malolactic fermentation to preserve the wine’s freshness and vibrancy.
