Toasting to the new year, we are proud to release our 2023 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay. This Carneros Chardonnay is a perfect way to start the year on a bright note, celebrating an iconic appellation and a distinctive vintage.

2023 is anticipated to be one of Napa Valley’s top ranked vintages. Budbreak was delayed due to cooler temperatures, and ideal harvest conditions with moderate weather and no heat spikes created a true winemaker’s vintage, allowing us to pick balanced fruit at optimal ripeness. Hyde Vineyard is planted to two clones of Chardonnay, Wente and Robert Young. The Wente clone producers small, flavorful berries which give extra flavor intensity to the finished wine, while the Robert Young clone provides a mineral backbone.

Focused aromatics reveal orange blossom, jasmine, and walnut. The palate opens with warm citrus, white pineapple, and creme brulee. Acidity leads to fresh brioche, brown spice, nutmeg, and minerality in the long finish.
